I have baked and decorated cakes most of my life. I spent my childhood watching my grandmother make gorgeous wedding cakes in her home kitchen. I was always amazed and would watch her work for hours. Although I loved watching her, I never thought of it as something I could do. I spent most of my time in research and microbiology labs after college, but after having my oldest son I decided to investigate my artistic side. Iasked my grandmother if she would teach me to decorate cakes. She obliged and we spent the next few months working together. My love for cake soon turned into a passion! Within a few years I opened my own bakery in Orlando, FL. I loved working with and meeting the people in Orlando. After a very busy and exciting 2 1/2 years, I watched my company grow and expand but then my amazing husband was offered a great promotion and we needed to move. I closed Wendy Woo Cakes in Orlando, but my love for cake, art and especially cake art is still as strong as ever!
