For the past few weeks we have been so busy, we have not had time to update our blog, so here it is. Get ready for an inside look to the craziness that has been Wendy Woo Cakes for the past few weeks.
It all started with The House of Anubis. I must admit, when I got the call for this cake I had no idea what House of Anubis was, and since then I have now seen enough of the show to last me a life time. But to get a cake right, you must do research. For those of you like me, it is a show on Nickelodeon for pre-teens and teens. It is sort of a Harry Potter meets Ancient Egypt theme with 8 teens living in a Boarding House and their school colors are Maroon, Black and Silver.
The symbol on the top of the cake is the Eye of Horus which is the logo for the show.
The bottom tier of the cake is hand painted to look like the dark forest that surrounds the House.
I really enjoyed making this cake, and Cassidy loved it! It was so fun to see her face and how excited she was when she saw it.
